Reverend Hilary Krivchenia

I come to the work of spiritual direction after a lifetime of walking alongside others through the deep passages of being human. With more than two decades in Unitarian Universalist ministry, I’ve been privileged to accompany people through every season of life — birth, coming of age, marriage, loss, and death — bearing witness to both the beauty and the complexity of the human spirit.

I hold a Master of Theology from Meadville Lombard Theological School (Unitarian Universalist), earned when the school was still affiliated with the University of Chicago, and a degree in philosophy that continues to shape my love of inquiry and meaning-making. Before ministry, I worked as a licensed massage therapist in Atlanta, where I came to trust the wholeness of life — body, breath, mind, emotion, and spirit — as one sacred weave.

Rooted in my Jewish heritage and shaped by the open, questioning spirit of Unitarian Universalism, I honor the many ways people seek and name truth. I have studied with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, trained with Joanna Macy in The Work That Reconnects, and carry certifications as a Spiritual Director, Reiki Practitioner, Consulting Hypnotist, and grief and healing facilitator through the University of Wisconsin Extension.

I’ve walked in the Holy Land among many faiths and found, in each, the same yearning for connection and compassion. These experiences have strengthened my Universalist faith and deepened my understanding that all paths of sincere seeking hold wisdom.

Now, as I embrace my elder years — still young at heart — I find joy in offering the fruits of experience to others. At Soul Grove, I provide a compassionate, grounded, and non-judgmental space where you can pause, listen inwardly, and rediscover the sacred thread of your own life. Whether you seek renewal, healing, guidance, or simply a companion on your spiritual journey, I am honored to walk beside you as you find meaning, joy, and peace in your unfolding life.
